Ludbrook’s Joinery, Ballarat04/08/2016
Responsive Symfony Website
Built on the Symfony2 framework, this website features a custom design that incorporates the client’s existing brand. Each page features a mobile/touchscreen friendly image slider, a contact form that integrates with MailChimp, and a tap-to-call button for call-capable devices. The responsive layout allows all elements to fit nicely on any screen size, without any need to zoom or scroll horizontally. All resources such as images and JS/CSS files are concatenated, minified, optimised, compressed and served from a static subdomain to acheive optimal performance.

Responsive Wordpress Website
More than just a blog, this Wordpress website features a fully custom theme that we constructed from scratch. Like most Wordpress websites it allows managers to add, update or delete content on their own, via an admin portal, and users can comment on blog posts and recipes. It also includes a smart search function, a contact form that integrates with Mailchimp so that users can subscribe to the newsletter, a download button that automatically generates a print-friendly version of the page, and of course the layout is responsive so it renders nicely on all devices.
Hardy Automotive, Geelong20/04/2015
For Hardy Automotive, we provided a new solution to replace their existing website. Their new website features a responsive layout that is designed to fit any screen size, including desktop, tablet and mobile. It contains detailed information regarding the services that they offer, including photographs of their actual workers performing maintenance tasks on real cars. It also includes a contact form with intelligent anti-spam technology allowing customers to enquire easily without necessarily having to complete a CAPTCHA test.
Entice Makeup, Ballarat17/01/2015
Logo, Website & Business Cards
We were comissioned by this new Ballarat based makeup & hair business to create a logo and brand identity, produce business cards and construct a website. Since the website only needed to provide basic information about the business and photos of their work, we were able to produce a very simple product that was cost effective without sacrificing quality. We also included a contact page with an enquiry form that features our usual validation and intelligent anti-spam technology.
Ruffin Hydraulics, Geelong01/12/2014
Website Redesign & Rebuild
Ruffin Hydraulics felt that their existing website was outdated and did not accurately reflect their current brands, products and services. It was difficult to navigate and didn’t rank very well in search results. Powder Silk was commissioned to design a fresh new website that could encapsulate the bright, can-do attitude of Ruffin’s workers while presenting information in a way that makes it easier for customers to get an overview and feel welcome to call or enquire for more information. Several of their main services are featured very prominantly on the homepage with a descriptive caption and links to more information. All pages feature a large telephone number and usually also a small, straight-forward enquiry form so that customers always know where to go to find out more.
Pirozzi Developments, Hallam11/06/2014
Website, email & photo presentation
For Pirozzi Developments we designed and built a brand new website to provide information about their services and showcase their work. The website is very simple and easy to navigate. Each page has a series of crossfading images with controls that make it easy to view the photos at your own pace. Some of the photos were enhanced to bring out the colours, despite being taken through dusty or overcast weather conditions. Other photos were combined and labelled to demonstrate a "before and after" effect. We also set up a professional email address for the client to use, helped them to access it from their devices and provided them with an email signature image to further improve the professionalism of their business.
Window Warehouse, Geelong22/04/2014
Customise & Buy your Security Doors online
This new feature for the Window Warehouse website allows people to build their own security door or fixed screen. It offers a range of standard products to begin with, as well as the option to start from scratch. Customers can choose their preferred locking system, screen material, size, colour, handle side & height, and see a live preview of their selections. Instructions are given on how to measure the door/window opening, depending on their selections, and shipping charges are calculated based on the postcode they provide. After all decisions have been made, and the customer accepts the terms of the agreement and places their order, an electronic invoice is emailed to the customer and a materials/cutlist summary is emailed to Window Warehouse.
Designed to fit any screen size, The Gordon’s new screensaver features a subtle animation that effectively prevents display “burn-in”. The circles and arrows are generated randomly, always in a slightly different position, and travelling in varying directions and speeds. The linear patterns shift slightly in an offset, repeating pattern. Every 15 minutes, the whole screen reverses in a smooth transition so that nothing ever stays in one place for too long.
